Single parent and widow/widower welfare loans
These loans provide necessary money for children's schooling, children becoming employed, etc., as well as funds necessary to stabilize their lives and are intended for single parent/widow/widower households.
A review process will be conducted and your application may or may not be rejected during it.
Prepaid book coupons to encourage children that lost a guardian in a traffic accident
These coupons are given once a year to children (infants - high school students) that lost a guardian in a traffic accident
Independence support payments for single parent households, etc.
Independence support educational training payments
These payments can cover 60% (up to a maximum limit) of designated educational training courses covered by unemployment insurance for parents in single parent households.
Conditions apply, so please consult with the Children's Support Division before signing up for training programs
Higher training promotion payment
This payment is provided to guardians of single parent households enrolled in curriculums lasting a year or longer to get a national certificate to become a nurse, assistant nurse, care worker, childcare worker, physical therapist, occupational therapist, etc.
Those that complete the training will also receive a training completion lump-sum payment.
The amount paid will vary depending on whether or not your household is subject to residence tax, etc. so please consult with the Children's Support Division before signing up for training programs if you have any questions or concerns.

This center provides employment support through lectures and information about finding employment as well as consultations about the cost of raising children for single parent households, etc.

- Test preparation for the national certified care worker certificate
- Medical office work and medicine dispensing lectures
- Computers
- Lectures about grade 3 of the Official Business Skill Test in Book-keeping
