Gifu Park

Gifu Park is located at the base of Mt. Kinka and is a place where citizens can enjoy their free time.

Gifu Family Park

The park is made up of three different areas.

  • Sports and recreation zone
    • This section has a green space and the Shonen Shizen no Ie (Youth Retreat)
    • Baseball field, soccer and rugby field, tennis court, gymnasium
  • Miwakuru Square
    This area has large compound playground equipment.
  • Children's zone
    This area has large playground equipment, super mobiles (rail cars), bobsleds, go-karts, etc.

Schools and youth organizations can have overnight retreats here.

Nagaragawa Fureai no Mori (Shiki no Mori Center)

This forest is nearby the tallest mountain in the city, Mt. Dodogamine, and visitors can enjoy the nature trails inside.
Various groups hold a variety of events and lectures here.

Gifu Livestock Breeding Center Park

The park has many roses, hydrangeas, irises, a large green space, an athletic field, etc.
It's a place for citizens to relax and enjoy a variety of activies.

Kakeboraen (athletic field)

This athletic field is surrounded by around 250 cherry blossom trees.
Children and their parents can enjoy exercising here.

Bairin Park

There are around 50 different kinds of red and white plum trees within the park, with around 1300 of these trees altogether.
A plum festival is held during early March each year.

The park is located in the center of the city.
The park/lawn area is used to hold many kinds of events as well

Kashimori Park

There is an observation deck on Kamikanoyama within the park.
You can get a view of the city from it and get there by driving.

The park is well known for its cherry blossom trees.
Every day, many citizens use the trails that start from the base of the mountain to maintain and increase their fitness.
