Gifu Castle, Gifu Castle Museum

The inside of the castle has many documents related to Oda Nobunaga on display, and you can get a great view of the city from the 4th floor.

Mt. Kinka Ropeway

You can get to the summit of Mt. Kinka from the ropeway station in Gifu Park in around 4 minutes.
You can also get a close look of the scenery on Mt. Kinka and enjoy the view of Gifu City beneath you.

    Starting around 7:45pm
    (this may differ depending on the season and events)
  • Noryo ukai (second daily cormorant fishing trips) is also held after normal cormorant fishing between July and September when demand is greater.

You can confirm when it will be held with the Cormorant Fishing Viewing Boat Office.

Shared-ride boats

Please make a reservation online or at the designated counter in advance, and pick up your ticket at the office on the day of boarding.
Smoking is prohibited on shared-ride boats.

You can learn more about cormorant fishing on the Nagara River in Gifu City and its traditional way of fishing that has been practiced for over 1300 years.

Nakasendo Kanojuku Community Development Exchange Center
