Permission to engage in an activity other than those permitted by the status of residence previously granted
This permission is necessary to obtain if you are earning income or remuneration from an activity that is not permitted by your current residence status.
This applies to those that have residence statuses (for working, studying abroad, etc.) found in Appended Table 1 of the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act.
It does not apply to those that are permanent residents or long-term residents as listed in Appended Table 2 of the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act as they have no restrictions on what kind of work they can do.
